Spring is in the air here in Texas and we’re all champing at the bit to get out and have some fun. Luckily, there are plenty of things to do right in our backyard. Whether you’re a family that loves the outdoors or a couple interested in discovering new sight-seeing adventures, a day’s drive allows you to experience a wide variety of destinations. Here at ExploreUSA we want you to enjoy your RV as much as possible. Here are some suggestions . . .

Right now is the perfect time to view the Texas state flower, the bluebonnet, and other spring wildflowers in Brenham and neighboring fields and rural roadways. The landscape explodes with color in the Eastern regions of our state. Make sure not to miss the annual Bluebonnet Festival April 12-13! While there, why not stop by one (or more) of the Hill Country wineries located in the area? Don’t wait, though, these beauties don’t last long.

Another local destination with a ton of things to do is lovely Galveston. From horseback riding to dolphin and sea turtle tours, kayaking to air boat adventures, nature lovers of all kinds will feel right at home. For city folk, the shopping, dining and events in town are top notch. There’s something for everyone! While spring break can be a busy time for Galveston, most schools are back in session by April and May. This is a good time to visit before the summer crowds begin.

Traveling over to the west side of the state is well worth the trip. Spring is a great time to take in the majesty of Big Bend National Park. Beat the heat and the crowds by visiting this must see park early in the season. By the time summer comes along, it can be too hot for any serious hiking. Breathtaking mountains, rugged canyons, arid valleys, and luminous night skies will bring out the cowboy in you. While relaxing under your camper awning, experience some of the best sunrises and sunsets you may ever see.

So dust off your RV and hit the road this spring. If you are looking to purchase a new RV, take a look at ExploreUSA’s Spring Clearance Sale.  Contact Us today with any sales or services questions you may have, and let us help you get out on the road to pre-summer fun!
