Celebrating Father’s Day RV Style

If you’ve got a dad who appreciates his Texas RV in your family, you’re lucky. These guys are easy to buy for on Father’s Day. I prowled the Internet today and found a few good picks that might work if you’re prowling around for the perfect gift for the Texas RV dad.

GPS – Here’s a GPS unit that not only helps you figure out where you’re headed, but also helps with trip planning, tracks your favorite camping spots, and predicts traffic patterns. I found this one on Amazon, and they had quite a few other suggestions for Father’s Day too.

AudioBooks – No road trip is complete without an audiobook.  A subscription to Audible.com can lower the costs of the books and keep dad entertained on long road trips!

Kindle – If your RV dad is a reader, then he’ll need more than just audiobooks on the road. He’ll need a full library of books in one of the electronic readers. I personally own a Kindle and go nowhere without it!

Power tools – Even simple power tools such as a cordless drill can come in handy on the next RV road trip. With the right adapter you can make quick work out of setting the stabilizers.

Here’s the adapter you’ll need.

For even more great ideas, check out the accessories in the RVs-4-Less catalog. You’ll find lots of goodies in there – from satellite systems  to outdoor recliners – lots of things that make RV life even more fun!

What are your best ideas for the RV dad in your life?
