Many pre-stocked first aid kits are available at your local drug store, however, these are often more expensive than making your own and don’t typically include the brands of items you prefer.

While this list isn’t exhaustive, these are the items you’ll likely need to get through any minor injuries you sustain during your trip. Remember to call 911 in case of an emergency. It is also integral you bring along items specific to your family’s needs.
If you have a family member who is diabetic bring along any insulin they might need and a glucometer to test their blood sugar. If someone in the family suffers from hypertension, make sure you have a blood pressure cuff to ensure their blood pressure is monitored. This is your first aid kit.
