Hawaiian Luau Foil Packets Are A Delicious and Easy Campground Recipe

Here is an easy campground recipe that can can be prepared at a campsite fire or on your RV outdoor kitchen grill. If you are planning a picnic, this is a great recipe the whole family will enjoy. It’s easy, flavorful, can be prepared in advance and is easy to clean up.
Bring a little bit of Hawaii to your great outdoors adventure with the sweet and savory flavors of pineapple and ham. Ham is easy to keep and to prepare so it makes a great protein choice for campground meals. Since it’s already cooked,it just needs to heat up while your other ingredients cook. This recipe uses a foil packet method, so you can customize each camper’s food preferences. Plus, clean up is a breeze!
Hawaiian Luau Campground Packets
Ingredients
Ham Steak – Cut into large pieces
Canned Pineapple Chunks
Green and Red Bell Peppers – Cut Into large pieces
Sweet Onion – Sliced
Broccoli Florets
Honey or Brown Sugar
Dijon Mustard
Butter
Red Pepper Flakes
Cooked Rice (boil in bag rice is an easy RV option) or Pasta
Instructions
To assemble foil packets, lay out a large square of foil for each camper.
Place Ham, pineapple and veggies in center of foil. Drizzle or sprinkle honey/brown sugar, Dijon mustard pepper on top and dot with a pat of butter.
Fold foil corners together and seal shut.
Grill packets for about 10-15 minutes turning once half way through.
Be careful opening packets as the steam will be hot.
Serve over cooked rice or pasta.
