When we go on vacation RVing Texas, exercising is one of the last things we think about. But, in all honestly, exercising should be part of your day to keep you healthy and give you that extra edge. Getting out and walking or hiking is a great way to get your blood pumping, but if you want to change up your routine or if the weather is too bad, you should do some yoga.
I don’t know about you, but over here it seems like a new yoga studio is popping up on every block. And I just had to give it a try. Turns out yoga is great for every age and every person. You don’t have to be in shape or even limber to do yoga. And it turns out that you can yoga just about anywhere, even your RV
In fact, there are two ladies who released a DVD for a yoga routine that is strictly for those in tight places, including RVs.
For the new endeavor, Hauca didn’t have to adjust her yoga routines much for space reasons – “A yoga mat is the same width as an RV (aisle way),” she said – but she was sure to incorporate RV “props” such as nearby seats and tables into the routine.
As well, they targeted the program – which is split into three 20-minute segments – for the baby-boomer and snowbird crowd, because they’re the most likely to be spending the most time traveling by RV.
So far, the DVD has been met with positive reviews from buyers, and sales – done through the company’s website and a few local retail outlets – have been strong. Yoga RVing is currently available online (www.yogarving.com).
Now there’s really no excuse to not work out especially since this yoga routine which specifically uses RV furniture. If you’ve been on the road for awhile, stopping to do a yoga session is a great way to get re-energized and re-focused. And it will help stretch, strengthen and lengthen your muscles that spend all day in the drivers seat.
